The cable channel’s Instagram account shared several pieces of fan art depicting characters from beloved shows to celebrate Pride Month—and trolled several homophobes who sounded off in the comments.

The cable TV channel Cartoon Network, like most normal people, is celebrating Pride Month this month, and it did so with a post on Instagram that, predictably, has conservatives crying in their Cheerios like a bunch of triggered babies.

The post featured fan art depicting characters from the network’s roster of shows over the years waving various LGBTQ+ Pride flags and the like.

For instance, one viral post featured drawings of Princess Bubblegum and Marceline from Adventure Time using a rainbow flag as a cape, along with a caption urging people to “live bravely” and “spread love.”

By now we all know how much conservatives absolutely HATE IT any time anyone “spreads love,” so of course they lost their ever-loving minds.

From puking emojis to right-wingers lamenting the supposed sullying of their childhoods, many people were deeply upset by *checks notes* cartoon characters acknowledging the existence of LGBTQ+ people.

And Cartoon Network was having none of it. They immediately jumped into the comments and started scrappin’, with some of the most hilarious digs possible.

One comment from the network pretty much summed it all up perfectly:

“Watching comments be mad about characters from a show that aired 15 years ago ️ ️”

But that was only the beginning. They started replying to bigots specifically to mock them.

To a troll whining that their childhood was now ruined by the existence of queer people, the network replied:

“Doesn’t seem like you’ve grown up tho”

To one that just commented a string of vomiting emojis, they were much more succinct, simply writing, “goodbye.”

And they kept it up:

Even the more curmudgeonly folks online who said they usually hate it when corporate brands try to market themselves by joining online discourse admitted in a Reddit threat that Cartoon Network was an exception.

And in the comments of Cartoon Network’s posts, they made sure to cheer them on for their efforts while also pointing out how dumb the uproar was in the first place.

Anyway, Happy Pride, you homophobic weirdos! We wish you the best of luck in healing the wounds this has inflicted upon you.
